本季總冠系列賽打完前兩場騎士和勇士戰成1比1平手，平均收視率高達12.9%，創下轉播單位《ABC》新高紀錄，由詹姆斯與史提芬柯瑞領銜演出的爭冠戲碼果真非同凡響。
雙「士」對決激烈的過程讓電視機前的球迷感到熱血沸騰，根據AC尼爾森的收視調查，第一戰就吸引了1780萬人收看，第二戰更視到達了1880萬人，尤其是美國周日晚間11點進入延長賽的時候收視人口突破到2440萬人，等同全台灣的民眾都在關注這場比賽。
除了全美收視率破紀錄外，各地方最支持總冠軍系列賽的莫過於克里夫蘭與奧克蘭了，光是次役克里夫蘭當地的收視率就飆升到42.1%，奧克蘭也有31.7%，雙雙改寫《ABC》紀錄。
